Sightcorp B.V. (“Sightcorp”) considers the safety and confidentiality of your personal data to be one of its priorities. This privacy policy explains how we safeguard your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy pertains to data that we process from visitors of our Sightcorp website (“Website”).

We treat all the data that you provide in strict confidence and always in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. We process your data solely for the purpose for which we have obtained them.

Contact with Sightcorp & demo requests

On the Website visitors can use the email address info@sightcorp.com to contact Sightcorp in order to ask questions, make remarks or submit complaints. We use the personal data you submit to reply to your questions, remarks and complaints as well as for statistical purposes so we can better our services where necessary. The processing of your personal data for this purpose is carried out in Sightcorp’s legitimate interest to improve its customer services.

On the Website visitors can sign up for a free trial for the Sightcorp products CrowdSight Toolkit, CrowdSight (SDK), CrowdStats (Dashboard) and InSight (SDK). In order to receive the free trial period for a selected Sightcorp product, visitors must submit their first name, last name, email address, telephone number, company and role within the company as well as the industry they work in. It is also possible to submit a message for Sightcorp.

With regard to CrowdStats (dashboard) the company role and related industry do not need to be submitted. Submitting a message is also possible. Due to the nature of the product visitors requesting a free trial must also provide an account name and password in order to create an account.

This above mentioned information is primarily used to offer visitors access to the selected product. The personal data is used for the performance of a contract to which you are party.

The information is also used by SightCorp to gain more information on the type of visitors that request free trials so Sightcorp may amend its services and products. This use of this personal data may be regarded as being carried out in Sightcorp’s legitimate interest to further improve our services and general functioning of the Website.

Furthermore, the email address obtained will be used to send visitors information and news regarding the selected Sightcorp product as well as other similar Sightcorp products and services. The use of the email addresses for direct marketing purposes may be regarded as being carried out in Sightcorp’s legitimate interest.

F.A.C.E. API

On the Website visitors can purchase the F.A.C.E. API. In order to provide visitors with the product, visitors must submit billing information. In order to subsequently use the product, visitors are also required to create an account.

This information is used to offer visitors access to the purchased product. The personal data is therefore used for the performance of a contract to which you are party.

Sightcorp Newsletter 
We would like to keep you informed of our activities and offers. You can therefore register for our Sightcorp Newsletter on the Website. In order to complete your registration you must provide your first and last name and your email address. Every email that Sightcorp sends to you gives you the possibility of unsubscribing.

The use of your email address and name for direct marketing purposes may be regarded as being carried out in Sightcorp’s legitimate interest.

Automatically generated data

Our web server automatically recognises your IP address every time you visit the Website. When you visit the Website, we also retain:
– your email address if you post questions on the Website;
– your email address if you communicate it to us;
– the domain names of other sites that you have used to visit the Website;
– all information with regard to the pages you have opened on the Website.

We use this information solely to:
– improve the Website content and to bring it more closely in line with the wishes of our visitors;
– to determine the number of visits to the Website.

The use of automatically generated data may be regarded as being carried out in Sightcorp’s legitimate interest to further improve our services and general functioning of the Website.

Security and retention period

The personal data that we collect via the Website are secured using current customary techniques. Sightcorp retains your personal data for as long as you have an account or for as long as provided for by law. Sightcorp always complies with the applicable laws and regulations when securing and storing your personal data.

Third party Recipients

Certain data that you provide to us may be shared with third parties we engage (such as companies that provide chat or support functionalities, that send emails on our behalf, that process payments). These parties process your data solely on the instructions of and on behalf of Sightcorp. In the event of such processing, Sightcorp ensures that there are contractual provisions to prevent third parties from using your personal data for purposes other than those described in this privacy policy, and that such third parties have taken the security measures that are necessary for protecting your personal data from non-authorised processing as well as from unintentional loss, destruction or damage.

What are your rights?

As a data subject, you have a number of rights under privacy legislation. This section of the privacy policy describes these rights and how you can invoke them.

Response

We endeavour to respond to your requests as soon as possible but in any case within one month. We could need more time, however. In that case, we will let you know that within this month. You will not have to wait more than another two months.

We might reject your request, for example because it is unfounded or excessive or because we cannot or are not obliged (by law) to satisfy it. We will also inform you if we reject your request. We might also ask you to provide proof of identity before we process your request.

Please note that if we reject any request from you, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Right of access

You have the right to submit a request to find out whether we process personal data about you. If that is the case, we will, in accordance with the law, send you a copy of the personal data we have collected on you.

Right to rectification

You have the right to submit a request for the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. If possible, you also have the right to provide additional personal data in order to complete the personal data we have collected.

Right to be forgotten

You have the right to request that certain personal data concerning you be deleted (the right to be forgotten). If your request is granted, we will delete the personal data in question.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to submit a request for a restriction of processing your personal data. This means that, if your request for a restriction is granted, we will not process your personal data any further during the period of the restriction unless this is allowed by law.

Right to object

In certain circumstances, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, for example if we process your personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest. If you submit an objection, we will weigh up your privacy interests against our business interests. If your interest prevails, we will not process your personal data any further.

If your personal data are used for direct marketing, you can always object to their processing. In that case we will no longer process your personal data for that purpose.

Right to data portability

You have the right to submit a request for data portability. We will make the data to which this right pertains available to you in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format so that you can transfer them to a third party.

How long are your personal data retained?

Your personal data will be carefully retained for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which they are processed unless Sightcorp is legally obliged to retain them for longer.
